Badge Guidelines

Verification Badges issued under the USRegister framework provide a standardized method for confirming active registry status. Badges are issued by recognized industry registries using USRegister infrastructure and reference the centralized verification database.

Section I: Purpose & Scope

These guidelines establish the standards governing the issuance and use of verification badges associated with registry records and maintained within the USRegister System.

Badges serve as verification references only and are intended to provide a standardized method for confirming active registry status across recognized industries.

Section II: Badge Representation

A verification badge indicates that a business holds an active registry record issued through a recognized industry registry and maintained within the USRegister system.

The badge confirms:

  • II.1 Registry inclusion.

  • II.2 Active verification status at the time of issuance.

  • II.3 A corresponding public record within the USRegister database.

  • II.4 Interfaces directly with applicant business.

The badge does not represent:

  • II.5 Government licensing or regulatory approval.

  • II.6 Quality certification or performance guarantees.

  • II.7 Endorsement of services, products, or outcomes.

Section III: Badge Issuance Authority

Verification badges are issued by recognized industry registries operating under USRegister standards.

III.1 Role of USRegister.org

USRegister.org provides the centralized infrastructure required to support badge issuance, including (see below chart).

III.2 Role of Industry Registries

Recognized industry registries are responsible for the following (see below chart).

III.1 Role of USRegister.org

  • III.1.a Registry identifier generation.

  • III.1.b Centralized verification database management.

  • III.1.c Badge reference validation and record linking.

  • III.1.d. Canonical public verification records.

III.2 Role of Industry Registries

  • III.2.a. Conducting verification reviews.

  • III.2.b. Approving badge issuance.

  • III.2.c Managing renewals and status changes on an annual basis for current stanging.

  • III.2.d Communicating record updates to USRegister.

Section IV: Badge Structure and Traceability

Each verification badge contains standardized elements designed to support both traceability and public validation across all levels of trades and industry.

IV.1 Badge Element Structure includes:

  • IV.2 A unique Registry ID

  • IV.3 Industry-specific registry marks, logos or symbols

  • IV.4 Verification year or status indicator

  • IV.5 A QR code or embedded link referencing the official USRegister record.

  • IV.6. When scanned or accessed, badge references resolve directly to the corresponding public verification record hosted within the USRegister system.

Section V: Permitted Use

Verified businesses may display an issue badge in the following locations:

V.1 Badges may be displayed in the following places:

  • V.2 On their website, third-party sites, databases, or social media.

  • V.3 In digital materials including emails, email signatures, materials or proposals

  • V.4 In digital or print documentation or online profiles.

  • V.5 When displayed online, badges must link to the business's official USRegister verification record.

Section VI: Prohibited Use

Verified businesses may not use their badge in accordance with the standards charted below.

VI.1 Badges may Not be:

  • VI.2 Altered, modified or recreated.

  • VI.3 Used after verification has expired or been revoked.

  • VI.4 Displayed in a manner implying regulation, licensing or government endorsement.

  • VI.5 Transfered to another entity or business.

Section VII: Status Changes and Enforcement

Verification badges remain valid only while the associated registry record is active and recorded on an annual basis.

VII.1 The corresponding badge must be removed from all displays if the registry record is:

  • VII.2 Expired

  • VII.3 Suspended

  • VII.4 Removed

  • VII.5 Improper badge use may result in suspension or removal of registry status

Verification badges function solely as status references and records. USRegister.org does not promote businesses, rank providers, or guarantee performance. Registry records reflect submitted information at the time of issuance and are maintained for verification and reference purposely onl.
