Business Verification

USRegister.org maintains the national recordkeeping system that supports industry-specific verification registries. Verification is conducted through recognized partner registries that specialize in individual industries. These registries apply industry-specific standards and submit verified records to USRegister.org for inclusion in the national database.

How Verification Works

1. Business Applies Through Authorized National Industry Registry

Verication begins at the industry level. Businesses seeking verification apply through a recognized industry registry (such as CNCRegistry.org) that specializes in their specific trade or service category.

Each Approved Industry Registry:

  • Operates independently as a credible organization.

  • Defines industry-specific eligibility requirements.

  • Collects application information and registry fees.

  • Interfaces directly with applicant business.

*This ensures that verification is handled by organizations with domain-specific knowledge rather than a centralized, generic intake process. USRegister.org does not process applications and does not collect fees from businesses.

2. Approved Registry Conducts Verification

Once an application is submitted, the recognized industry registry conducts a verification review in accordance with its published standards and procedures.

Verification Typically Involves:

  • Reviewing submitted business information.

  • Confirming industry relevance and operational status.

  • Ensuring required disclosures are completed.

  • Applying registry-specific eligibility criteria.

*Each registry is responsible for determining whether an applicant meets its verification requirements. USRegister does not evaluate individual businesses and does not override registry decisions.

3. Record is Issued and Submitted to USRegister.org

When verification is approved, the industry registry issues a verification record and submits it to USRegister.org for inclusion in the national registry databse.

At this stage:

  • A unique Registry ID is assigned.

  • A public verification record is created.

  • The business's verification status becomes searchable on USRegister.org.

  • Any associated verification badges or certificates reference this record.

*USRegister.org serves as the canonical record authority, ensuring that verification records are standardized, maintained and public verifiable across industries.

4. Important Clarifications

USRegister.org functions solely as:

  • A national verification record system

  • An issuing authority for registry identifiers and verification references.

  • A centralized database supporting recognized industry registries

  • Applying registry-specific eligibility criteria.

In addition, USRegister.org provides technical infrastructure used by partner registries to:

  • Standardize application data submitted for verification.

  • Generate an assign unique registry identifiers.

  • Issue and manage verification badges and certificates.

  • Maintain a centralized verification database across multiple industries

*USRegister.org does not conduct verification reviews, determine eligibility, or interact directly with applicant businesses. All verification deisiona and applicant communications are handled by recognized partner registries.
